That’s just the way it is. Who expects a free ride into Heaven? Be left in no doubt that you will be tested, Allah SWT wants to see whether we continue to strive or give up, who will put personal comfort above Allah.
There will be a lot of pain, sorrow and self-sacrifice. This is the way that Allah SWT purifies us. How many times have you heard, “I learnt a lot more about myself during my struggles, rather than my success.”
Surah 29: 1-4
“1. A. L. M.
2. Do men think that, they will be left alone, on saying, “We believe”, and that they will not be tested?
3. We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are True from those who are false.
4. Do those who practice evil think that they will outstrip Us?”
Those who believe look forward to meeting Allah, thus they strive and struggle as they know this temporary phase is not forever.
Surah 29
5. For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah, The Term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming: And He hears and knows (All things).
6. And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls: For Allah is free of all needs from all creation.
7. Those who believe and work righteous deeds,-from them shall We blot out all misdeeds that they have committed, and We (Allah alone) shall reward them according to the best of their deeds..
All your striving will benefit you in the end. Allah has no needs and is independent of all his Creation.
Conforming your will
- Will enable you to avoid the consequences of your misdeeds for Allah will forgive any minor sins.
- Help you to attain a hereafter based on the best of what you have done,
- Allah’s mercy will give you rewards above what you deeds entitle you to.
